Every year, thousands of neighborhood pharmacies, family doctors, home health agencies, and other independent providers are forced to close — not because patients don’t need them, but because giant insurance companies and Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) are driving them out of business. 

Carry the Cross Foundation is launching in January 2026 to defend every independent healthcare provider in America from insurance and PBM monopolies.

 Neighborhood pharmacies, family doctors, therapists, dentists, counselors, chiropractors, optometrists, home health agencies, independent clinics, and hospitals — every provider who still accepts your insurance — are disappearing or being forced to drop your plan at record speed.

When they close or stop taking your insurance, every patient suffers — but seniors, children, working families, veterans, and the disabled are hurt the worst:

• A mother can’t get her child’s inhaler without driving an hour
• A cancer patient loses the pharmacist who caught a deadly drug interaction
• A veteran skips mental health counseling because the local office shut down
• An 85-year-old on a fixed income now pays $150 cash for meds that used to cost $10
• Entire families end up in the ER because local care vanished overnight
